Our cellulose and lignocellulose are pure plant fibres. They are available as powder or fibre and are suitable for fibre enrichment (to increase the crude fibre content) of pet food. Added to animal feed, they reduce energy digestibility and have a positive effect on stool formation.
Lignocellulose is composed mainly of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. Corn stover , Panicum virgatum (switchgrass), Miscanthus grass species, wood chips and the byproducts of lawn and tree maintenance are some of the more popular cellulosic materials for ethanol production.
As nouns the difference between lignocellulose and cellulose is that lignocellulose is (biochemistry) the combination of lignin and cellulose in the structural cells of woody plants while cellulose is a complex carbohydrate that forms the main constituent of the cell wall in most plants and is important in the manufacture of numerous products, such as paper, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and explosives. It is composed of carbohydrate polymers (cellulose, hemicellulose), and an aromatic polymer . These carbohydrate polymers contain different sugar monomers (six and five carbon sugars) and they are tightly bound to lignin. Cellulose, lignin and lignocellulose are important bioresources in the nature. Their effective and environmentally friendly utilization not only reduces dependence on fossil resources but also protects the environment. Recently, a class of novel eco-friendly solvents, ionic liquids, is employed to dissolve and process these bioresources.
It is composed of carbohydrate polymers ( cellulose , hemicellulose ), and an aromatic polymer ( lignin ). Cellulose is a long chain polysaccharide formed by D–glucose units, linked by β–1,4 glycosidic bonds: its structure has crystalline parts and amorphous ones. Lignin is an amorphous polymer made by different phenolic compounds and is the main component of cell walls: Lignin holds together cellulose and hemicellulose Lignocellulose is composed mainly of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin.
However, lignocellulose is indeed a complicated natural biomaterial at nano- and microscales. This is because the chemical compositions of lignocellulose cell wall construct a bulwark with a spatially hierarchy nano- and ultrastructure to protect the structural carbohydrates from degradation, which is known as the biomass recalcitrance.
It plays an important role in cell wall structure as a permanent bonding agent among plant cells. Unlike cellulose, lignin cannot be depolymerised to its original monomers. yield cellulose with different degrees of crystallinity. The degree of polymerization of the cellulose fraction ranged from 167.4 to 1615.7.
Thermophilic (55 degrees C) anaerobic enrichment cultures were incubated with [C-lignin]lignocellulose, [C-polysaccharide]lignocellulose, and kraft [C]lignin prepared from slash pine, Pinus elliottii, and C-labeled preparations of synthetic lignin and purified cellulose.
Our lignocellulose is a crude fibre source that is 100% free of mycotoxins and is used for compound feed of pigs, poultry and rabbits.
